Value Proposition

MobileMD’s 4D HIETM provides secure clinical and administrative data exchange between all providers caring for patients within a community, regardless of their location, EMR technology or vendor.  MobileMD’s web-enabled Enterprise Access application further provides support for physician practices that have yet to implement an EMR.  In short, MobileMD provides 100% of the physician community with real-time, secure clinical and administrative data exchange, sharing, ad hoc communications and disparate system integration.

MobileMD establishes three key components of value by enhancing clinical dialog and providing a shared community record that is connected via orders, results, referrals, and secure ad hoc messaging:

  1. Drive 100% alignment with the ambulatory community. MobileMD’s offering supports connectivity to 100% of ambulatory and specialty physicians, whether owned, affiliated, or “splitters”.  MobileMD’s connectivity approach is vendor neutral, supporting physician alignment whether a practice is using a health system sponsored EMR, another EMR, or even no EMR. Additionally, MobileMD’s product extends to offer a single on-ramp to other HIEs, whether regional, state, or organizationally focused.

While many health systems sponsor EMRs for their physician communities, the sponsored EMR is virtually never used by the entire community.  As a result, there is always opportunity to better align community physicians through vendor neutral clinical data exchange.  MobileMD facilitates such alignment.  The result: improved physician alignment, reduced care community costs, and increased referral opportunities.
  2. Reduce costs by optimizing efficiency of operations. MobileMD’s HIE excels processing all inbound and outbound communications. By efficiently handling orders, results, referrals, and ad hoc secure messaging, MobileMD’s clients reduce operational overhead associated with paper handling, fax, courier, and point-to-point interfaces. MobileMD thus reduces cost, eliminates filing errors, and ensures the most current information is available for the right physician, at the right place and the right time.  Additionally, MobileMD is able to fully audit all transaction activity and provide significant protection against inappropriate disclosure.  Lastly, MobileMD’s 100% service offering enables its clients to focus on care and internal technology initiatives while MobileMD handles all connectivity and communications.  The result: much greater confidence in the integrity of the clinical information used to make clinical decisions achieved at a much lower cost of operations.
  3. Improve care and outcomes by establishing clinical dialog across the care continuum.  Automated, secure communication across providers prepares clients for the accountable care movement, shared risk, bundled payments, and other financial implications resulting from recent healthcare reform legislation.  MobileMD’s service supports omni-directional exchange among providers across a patient’s clinical team, regardless of technology or location.  Such information includes all clinical results, orders, electronic referrals, and even secure ad hoc messaging.  By intelligently pushing data to providers as patients move between different care settings, physicians are able to make better, more informed decisions. MobileMD can even send automated alerts to a patient’s entire care team, so physicians are kept aware, in real time, about important events affecting their patients.  The result: better care, improved quality, improved patient/physician relationships.

In short, the digital divide historically established by “single vendor” implementations significantly limits effective communications to a small portion of the physician community.  MobileMD’s offering expands such communications to the entire physician community. Costs are reduced; and, outcomes, physician/patient relationships, and care transitions are improved.  As a result, the medical and financial risks that exist when a proper clinical dialog doesn’t follow a patient are significantly mitigated.
